The Crucible ще е готов за сваляне тази седмица!

Ще има и нещо като tower defense, нова валута, класация, вълни от чудовища, много плячка!

Много бързо работят, харесва ми! М/у другото вече 700+ часа играя и не ми е писнала. Това е двойно повече от това, което си мислех, че ще ѝ отделя.

Октомври ни очаква нов голям пач със седем нови легендарни комплекта, нови легендарни предмети и промени по баланса на класовете и предметите. Много яко, но истински добрата новина е, че от CRATE потвърдиха излизането на expansion-a, който, според спекулациите, ще пристигне в края на годината или в началото на следващата!
Grim Misadventures return with the latest on what’s coming your way in Grim Dawn. Last time, we left you with a little preview of what’s still on the horizon with our upcoming free updates: v1.0.0.6 and v1.0.0.7. Today we’re going to dig a little deeper into what’s in store for you with v1.0.0.6, which we expect to release no later than early-October.

As we mentioned back in GM#100, v1.0.0.6 is focused on bringing your more options when hunting for endgame loot. This comes in many forms:

1) Refined relative balance of Legendary Rings
Many of the Legendary Rings currently do not offer much in terms of much-needed resistances. This places a disproportionate value upon those that do fill in that gap. As such, we took a look at all of the Legendary Rings and made sure that all of them provide some degree of survivability.

2) Adjusted several Rare Affixes
Similarly to the rings, not all Rare quality affixes are competitive for Ultimate difficulty. We did another pass on those to add more resistance gearing options at higher level (~50+).

3) Revised all level 55+ Epic Item Sets
As the game balance continued to be refined, many of these item sets began to lag behind. Rather than providing a viable stepping stone to Legendary items, they were generally looked over. With 1.0.0.6, high level Epic Item sets should not only be more competitive for max level, they may even open up some new build opportunities.

4) Added 7 new Legendary Sets
Just in case all of the above was not enough, we’ve gone ahead and created 28 new Legendary items for you to hunt down and add to your collection. These items fall into 7 sets designed to support builds that are not already supported by the existing Legendary set selection.

In total, v1.0.0.6 will bring you 28 all new Legendary items, and over 90 revised Epic Items, which should greatly spice up what you may be looking for when gearing out your max level characters!

As is standard procedure here at Crate, we’re not stopping there. V1.0.0.7 will come before the end of the year with a brand new Aetherial themed roguelike dungeon, absolutely brimming with lore, monster infrequents and new dangers to discover.

Beyond that...I hear rumors of a certain expansion that’s actively in development. ;)

Grim Misadventure #105: Extra Large Evils

Grim Misadventures continues! Last time, we left you with what is the first of many armor appearances coming with Grim Dawn’s expansion. As always, far more loot awaits you in the future. But that loot is rarely left unguarded. Today we’re going to delve again into the expanding monster menagerie.

Grim Dawn’s expansion picks up right where the base game leaves off. You’ve vanquished a Chthonian terror threatening to destroy all life upon Cairn, and a dear ally has been consumed by a rift and vanished from sight. Worse still, while the Cult of Ch’thon is crippled in their efforts, the Aetherial threat remains as strong as ever. This two-pronged war is stretching humanity’s resources thin, but you must endure if there is any hope for Cairn.

Previously, we spoke of some of the dangers in store for you in the dank waters north of Burrwitch known as Ugdenbog, but there’s more, there’s always more.


Ugdenbog Golems
With the veil between realities weakened by the intrusions of Aetherial and Chthonian invaders, many new threats have breached the barrier between realities and crossed into Cairn over the years. You very likely already had close encounters with Rift Scourge and Rifthounds, or perhaps entered the sticky innards of a Dermapteran hive teeming with insectoids.

Those are all creatures from the Eldritch realm, living beings that do not belong and yet have thrived upon Cairn. But raw arcane energies pouring through the veil had given form to entirely new creations.

The Ugdenbog Golems are the bog itself come to life. They embody the moss, the stones and the roots of the very land they inhabit, driven by magical energies that fuel their unnatural existence. In a way, they have become the guardians of Ugdenbog, and they will stand against anything that threatens its natural balance. They are powerful and resilient foes that can easily crush unwary travelers beneath their trees for fists.


Aetherial Sentinels
Meanwhile, in another part of the world, the Aetherials are preparing for the next stages of their grand plans. Though it is apparent that they consider humanity as little more than a resource to be harvested, the Aetherial masterminds are not taking any chances. They’ve begun fortifying their conquests against foreseeable threats, whether they be mortal or Chthonic in nature.

Enter the Aetherial Sentinel, a conglomeration of flesh and bone molded into a terrifying display. These living obelisks are anchored deep into the earth and tower over the ruins of human settlements. With their dozen eyes, they seek out threats, and their gaping maws screech should an intruder be detected, attracting the attention of all nearby Aetherial servants.

But do not underestimate the sentinels should you happen to discover one standing on its own. The Aether Crystal embedded atop it serves as not just a powerful weapon, but also a beacon for reinforcements to rift to. What new horrors it calls forth to hinder your journey? That remains to be seen…


Now, we’ve been hearing a lot of talk about cons and bad weather and necromancer this and devil that, and you’ve probably been wondering what might be coming out of the crate for Grim Dawn’s expansion. While we’re not quite ready to unveil what’s in store, I’ll leave you with a little wisdom from Yoda: “Always two there are, no more, no less.”

Grim Misadventure #106: The Fall of Port Valbury
Grim Misadventures here with another development update for Grim Dawn. Last time, we left you with another taste of the fiendish enemies awaiting you in Grim Dawn’s expansion. This time, we are going to look a bit closer on the timeline to the upcoming 1.0.0.7 update: The Fall of Port Valbury.

Some observant sleuths have already discovered the addition of four new achievements on Steam that mention this new area. Port Valbury is our upcoming Aetherial-themed roguelike dungeon, and it is absolutely packed with new lore, bosses and monster infrequents for you to discover.

Before we dig into today’s update though, let’s get the most important info out of the way: Port Valbury and the 1.0.0.7 update are expected to go into testing in the near future and, barring unexpected issues, you can look forward to their release mid-December!


So what exactly happened at Port Valbury…?
A once proud and prosperous city with a booming port and trade network, Port Valbury has suffered greatly under the influence of the Aetherials. Even before the Grim Dawn was fully unleashed upon Cairn, their agents had begun working on undermining the population and throwing the city into chaos.

The city’s mayor, Khallos Strune, could not have suspected the schemes happening right under his nose, and when he began to realize that one of his advisors, Councilor Van Aldritch, was not using his position to the best interest of the citizenry, it was already too late. Port Valbury, as countless other settlements across the Erulan Empire, was doomed.


The Weapons of Choice
But every mastermind has their network, and so too did the Aetherial controlling Aldritch weave unsuspecting humans into its plans. If there was anything Port Valbury’s harbormaster loved more than a pitcher of ale, that would be coin. The promise of more profits made a willing ally out of Harbormaster Jarren. For reasons unknown to the harbormaster, the councilman wanted unrestricted access to the docks and no questions asked in regards to any shipments passing through with the mayor’s seal upon them.

Jarren was not the only person to fall under the Aetherial’s sway, but he would perhaps become one of the most unwilling and tortured of them all.

Forever bound to Van Aldritch’s will, Jarren now stalks the slums of Port Valbury as a monstrous creature with bleeding sores covering his aetherwarped flesh that will never heal. He now readily unleashes his agony and rage upon any living being foolish enough to enter Port Valbury.


Arise, Overlord Aldritch
After the fate of Port Valbury was sealed, the Aetherial known as Aldritch shed its human form and embraced the tainted nature of the Aether itself. Having turned the entire council of Valbury under its sway, it now rules over the fallen city with a strange relic known as the Scepter of Aldritch in hand.

Новата кръпка преди разширението на играта идва!

Накратко:
  • пач 1.0.0.7 идва на 15-ти декември
  • нова aetherial пещера като сегашните BoC и SoT
  • нови предмети с уникални афикси и префикси
  • подобряване на по-слабите сетове (магически и легендарни)
  • балансиране на OP сетовете
  • нови чудовища
  • ново съдържание (история и леко разширяване на света)
  • подобряване на мултиплейъра - оправят бъговете с изключването на аурите
  • експенжън около коледа/нова година/началото на януари
Grim Misadventure #107: Patch v1.0.0.7 Preview
It’s time for another Grim Misadventure! As you are probably eager to hear, patch 1.0.0.7 is still right on schedule for its mid-December release, just a few short weeks before you can dive into the despair that is the Fall of Valbury.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to our Dev Stream, which has been happening more consistently of late thanks to the efforts of Grava. You can look forward to the next Stream this Tuesday at 2PM EST. If you don’t get a chance to stop by, the recording will be archived on the channel for later viewing.

As with every patch, v1.0.0.7 comes with a variety of improvements and adjustments aimed at making Grim Dawn a better experience for you with more build diversity. Take a look at some of what’s in store for you with the latest free content update:

The Fall of Valbury
The Fall of Valbury is our third roguelike dungeon, joining the esteemed ranks of the Steps of Torment and the Bastion of Chaos that came before it. This massive area is packed with new challenges, bosses, lore and of course loot.

A whopping 16 lore notes (and a few secrets) await you within Port Valbury. Learn about what happened within the fallen city before and during the events of the Grim Dawn, and what nefarious plans may still lay in store for humanity…


New Monster Infrequents
Can’t have a new dungeon without some sweet loot to hunt down, and v1.0.0.7 will not disappoint with the introduction of new monster infrequents (below are their base stats only):

And then there is the mysterious scepter of Overlord Van Aldritch himself, a unique item crafted by the Aetherials for some devious purpose no doubt.

In addition to the four Monster Infrequents you can hunt for within the roguelike itself, we are also introducing a new type of Fleshwarped Troll that drops a fire-themed two-handed rifle.

Bug Fixes
Bug fixes are not something we typically highlight, but we felt that these bear mentioning as they address some frustrating issues affecting some users:
  • Fixed an issue with auras becoming desynchronized in Multiplayer sessions (ex. aura buffs randomly coming on and off). This bug may have also been contributing to the Multiplayer Aura Kill bug that has been reported in the past. If that bug persists after this update, please let us know.
  • Fixed an issue where the LAN lobby could freeze while looking for games.
  • Fixed a bug where a disconnect from a Steam game could cause a game freeze.
  • Fixed item names not being visible in the world at max camera zoom.



Class Tuning
As with previous updates, v1.0.0.7 brings with it primarily buffs to underperforming skills. Also included is a general adjustment to most Resistance Reduction effects, a new Transmuter for Grenado with a redesign of the Skyfire Grenado modifier and (probably the most important adjustment of them all :p) removal of energy cost from Possession.

For Devotion, a few Celestial Powers have seen a buff, and new means to stack Movement Speed have been introduced.

This is just skimming the surface though.


Item Tuning
As with some tweaks to classes, the update looks over itemization to tone down some over-performing sets and uniques while also upgrading some Rare affixes and uniques that needed a boost, particularly with defenses.

In addition, and this is more of a quality of life change for new players, blueprints for low level unique items are now much easier to craft.

Grim Misadventure #108: Introducing...
Welcome back to Grim Misadventures! Today marks our final update of 2016. It’s been a fantastic year for Grim Dawn; and what better way to end the year in style than to reveal something everybody’s been anxiously waiting for?!

With Patch V1.0.0.7 and the Fall of Valbury coming this week (What?!), we now look to the expansion coming next year. It’s getting to be a big one, packed with a massive new chapter of the Grim Dawn story, new features, new items, an increased level cap and TWO (that’s right) two new masteries.

Today, for the first time ever, we are ready to unveil one of the classes we will be introducing in Grim Dawn’s expansion. Are you ready?

Can you already guess what it is?

How about a little hint? In a way, you already know what both masteries are called. You’ve met both actually in your adventures through Cairn.

Ok, here it is. We are pleased to announce that Grim Dawn’s 7th Mastery is going to be: the esteemed Inquisitor!

Trained by the secretive Luminari Order, inquisitors were officially sanctioned by the Erulan Emperor to hunt down and eliminate all eldritch and arcane threats to the empire. This dangerous and thankless duty necessitated some unconventional means of combat, including using the powers of their very enemies against them.

For you see, while most artifacts and relics were deemed too dangerous and in turn ended up locked away in the impenetrable Vault of the Luminari, duty sometimes overcame safety. By studying these powerful relics, the Luminari have learned how to replicate them for their own purposes, in a way turning the very tools once used against humanity to instead defend it. It takes many years of rigorous training before an inquisitor is granted access to this arsenal, and for good reason. A fully initiated inquisitor is as deadly as she is unpredictable.

Inquisitors are also masters of ranged combat, preferring to take their enemies on at a distance rather than risking themselves to corruption or injury from supernatural forces. However, that does not mean that inquisitors will choke in the thick of battle or balk at using a melee weapon. On the contrary, close quarters is merely an excuse to unleash their full arsenal of artifacts and tricks.

Inquisitor Creed himself hails from this organization, and it was through his quick thinking and use of Luminari replicas that he survived his encounter with the Warden, leading to his eventual meeting with Ulgrim and the Black Legion. He now leads the surviving imperial forces to push back against the Aetherial and Chthonian threat. Another inquisitor in the ranks would be a great boon to the resistance.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the skills available to trained inquisitors:

Please note that as the masteries are still under development, the following information may change by release.
Inquisitors have a vast arsenal or artifacts at their disposal, making them excellent fighters at range, but also effective in melee. Their greatest strength lies in the use of Elemental magic, though anyone with a penchant for physical altercations will find plenty here to enhance their playstyles.

Storm Box of Elgoloth
”Open the runed Storm Box of Elgoloth, surrounding the target foe with a psychic energy that electrifies the very air around them, shocking the target and all unfortunate enough to stand too close.”

What’s better than to see your foes vanquished? Making your foes vanquish each other. By surrounding an enemy with this lightning field, you effectively turn them into a conduit to wither away all of their nearby allies as well.

With enough training, an inquisitor can also tether herself to the foe, causing lightning to ripple through the air between herself and the foe for so long as they stand within range. Anyone foolish enough to cross the lightning will suffer greatly.

Flames of Ignaffar
”Hold the Stone of Ignaffar in front of you, unleashing a torrent of flame from the palm of your hand for as long as you channel your will into the artifact.”

Filth infects Cairn with its unsanctioned magic. Purge it with purifying flames. Turn all that oppose you to ashes. But should a darker path entice you, corrupt the flames with Chaos by selecting the transmuter.

Ranged Expertise
”Though armed with an array of powerful artifacts and relics, all Inquisitors must be prepared to face an opponent while relying solely on their wits and their firearm. Expertly wielding ranged weapons allows trained Inquisitors to take out their prey from a safe distance.”

And more…
Master the placement of runic traps to eradicate any foe daring enough to come near. Bolster your allies with powerful groups buffs and arcane sigils. Overpower your foes with secret words of power. The Inquisitor is a lethal new addition to Grim Dawn’s list of masteries.

Class combination names you can look forward to: Deceiver, Mage Hunter, Purifier, Ritualist, Sentinel, Tactician and Vindicator.

Трейлърът на предстоящото продължение на култовата игричка:



Музиката е срташна. Надявам се да има много такава в целия x-pac. Два нови акта, два нови класа, митични предмети, 26 сета, 45 нови боса, които ще пускат спецефични предмети, 4 нови немезиса, 40 тайни зони.

Има и подобрения по енджина, които вдигат fps-a с 10-15 фрейма.

Малко чиста фактология - продължението ще съдържа повече от 1/2 от съдържанието на ванилата:
